Day 134: ‘mid The Green Fields Of Virginia by The Carter Family

2 Oct

Hey guys, if this is your first time on the site, be sure to check out the about page at the top for more info on my project! Also, sign the guestbook (also located in the top)!

I got a record player yesterday, so today I went to House Of Records (located on 13th and High) to buy some cheap vinyls to listen to. While I was there, the clerks blasted some sweet, bluegrass-y tunes that totally hooked me in, and the older clerk handed me a Carter Family vinyl to get me started on my bluegrass collection.

I took it home and put it on and instantly fell in love. It’s sweet, old, and happy sounding… everything I want in a great vinyl!

So, I picked one of my favorite tunes off of side one called “‘mid The Green Fields Of Virginia”. Enjoy!
