What’s your new years resolution? Post it in the comment section!

Mine is just t0 get my life figured out! I want this year to be the best year!

In honor of the winter time, I wanted to feature a band I found early today! The band is Wintersleep of the great country CANADA and the song is “New Inheritors”. So pretty and a great way to end the year!

Enjoy “New Inheritors” by Wintersleep!

Day 199: [BELATED] Factory Balls 2

31 Dec

Hey guys!

Before you laugh at the title (don’t worry, my mind is slightly in the gutter), check out this game from armor games! It’s a puzzle game where you dye balls to look like the example in the corner. It’s a LOT harder than it looks!

See for yourself! (and check out the christmas edition and the original game!)

Day 198: The Ruminant Band by Fruit bats

29 Dec

Hey guys!

Short post tonight, mainly because I got 3 hours of sleep last night and I’m exhausted.

I present another great song by a great band.

“The Ruminant Band” by Fruit Bats! Enjoy!

Day 197: Maybe by the Ink Spots

28 Dec

Hey guys!

I found two Ink Spots vinyls today at a bookstore, and it reminded me how much I adore these guys. Their music is timeless, and it always makes my heart swoon to hear it!

Enjoy “Maybe” by The Ink Spots and have a great day.

Day 196: [BELATED] Swan Lake Ballet

28 Dec

Hey everyone.

A days ago, I went and saw Black Swan (2010), starring Natalie Portman, and I was mesmerized by how fantastic it was. Sure, there were a few very awkward moments throughout, and the movie itself was incredibly intense, but the whole thing was mindblowing.

I wanted to feature essentially the theme song to the ballet she performs in, Swan Lake, because it is a beautiful piece of music. Of course I suggest that everyone sees the actual ballet, but if you get a chance, go see Black Swan. It is easily my favorite movie of 2010.

Enjoy the theme song to Swan Lake

Day 195: Feeling Good and Come Fly With Me by Michael Bublé

26 Dec

Hey everyone!

Earlier today, I watched a documentary/live show of pop singer Michael Bublé and discovered a few things: first of all, Michael Bublé is easy on the eyes… very very easy on the eyes; he’s hilarious, always cracking jokes about his family and crew members all in good humor; he’s super duper sweet, treating everyone with respect; and his voice is like Frank Sinatra! He’s awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching his live show.

But, my all time favorite song he sings is a tie between two cover songs… the first is a fantastic, bond sounding version of Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse’s “Feeling Good”. It’s gritty, and features the lovely Michael Bublé looking fine in a tuxedo.

The other song is a given favorite: His version of the Frank Sinatra song “Come Fly With Me” is now practically a classic in his repertoire, but it still warms my heart to hear it.

So enjoy “Feeling Good” and “Come Fly With Me”, sung by Michael Bublé!

I apologize for the weird version of this song… I honestly couldn’t find a better version!

25 Dec

Hey everyone!

First and foremost, merry christmas! I know not everyone celebrates this holiday, but it’s still a good reminder to understand the true meaning of the holiday season: being with family. Regardless of religion, the best part of the season is getting together with everyone and just having a blast!! So hopefully your Christmas is filled with some great memories!

Second, I’d like to give a huge shoutout to the lovely Cinematic Titanic facebook page! They posted a link to my recent post about MST3K, which is not only FREAKING AWESOME but it has brought a lot of new visitors to my site! Thanks guys for your support and I love your work!! If you’re visiting my blog because of their post, welcome! Feel free to take a look around and let me know what you think of my blog!

Onto today’s post.

It’s not Christmas without the classic movie A Christmas Story (1983). Surprisingly, I couldn’t find a great clip from the movie to feature, so I picked the best of what I could find…

Enjoy a clip from A Christmas Story (which is playing 24 hours on TBS) and don’t get to wrapped up for the cold!!

Day 193: Happy Holidays From the Vancouver Aquarium

24 Dec

Hey guys!

My mom showed me this video this morning, and I had to repost it.

Since it’s Christmas Eve, I felt this video is surprisingly seasonal. Plus it’s plain adorable!

I hope you enjoy a happy holiday message from the Vancouver Aquarium!

Day 192: MST3K Short: Alphabet Antics

23 Dec

Hey everyone!

So for today’s post, I wanted to feature a video by some of my favorite people.

For those of you guys who’ve never heard of Mystery Science Theater 3000, MST3K was a tv show on both the sci-fi channel and comedy central back in the late 80s-90s. The premise of the show is that a man was shot into space as a guinea pig to a mad scientists (who wants to destroy the world by showing them terrible movies). The guy built a bunch of robots to keep him company, and as they watch these horrible films they make fun of them. It was hilarious, and it has lived on with the fans that love it!

In fact, all the actors from the tv show have moved on to do similar things (Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy make up Rifftrax and Joel Hodgeson, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, Frank Conniff and Mary Jo Pehl make up Cinematic Titanic)

But I digress…

Tonight, I wanted to feature a short that the guys riffed called “Alphabet Antics”.

And, if you’re interested in more of their work, check out the MST3K information,, and Cinematic!

Day 191: [BELATED] Alphamorphosis

23 Dec

Hey everyone!

I bring you an 18 second short film that is best described by user name “flagstaffcharli” on youtube as “an animated haiku!”

Enjoy “Alphamorphosis”
